As we have entered 2021, our square dance world has continued to be negatively impacted. We had hoped to see a decline in COVID cases and the reversal of government restrictions on both local and national levels. Unfortunately, restrictions are in still in place in North Carolina as we have experienced a post-holiday surge in COVID cases. We will closely monitor the situation as we enter the spring season. We are cautiously optimistic that we will begin to see the COVID infection rates decline and restrictions lifted by late spring or early summer.

The State Convention Committee is still actively planning a convention for 2021. The dates for the convention are August 20-21, 2021. The Hilton has already set up our block of rooms. We would again like to express our thanks the Hilton Raleigh North Hills for their cooperation during this pandemic. They have been an excellent partner during this time. Please remember them in making your room reservations. Our room night count greatly offsets our cost for the convention and allows us to keep our registration fee as low as possible. Instructions on how to register and reserve rooms are here.

Updated information will be posted on this site and also on our Facebook page “North Carolina Square Dance Convention”. If you connect through Facebook, give us a “like” and also “follow” us. Following us will notify you of any updates as they are posted.

As always, dancer safety and satisfaction is our greatest priority. Thank you for your support in the past and going forward. We hope to see you on the dance floor soon!
